Learning About Foolishness
Etizolam & Alcohol (Ethanol)
Citation:   R._Jeffery_. "Learning About Foolishness: An Experience with Etizolam & Alcohol (Ethanol) (exp103397)". Erowid.org. Oct 22, 2020. erowid.org/exp/103397

DOSE:
  repeated oral Etizolam
    repeated oral Alcohol (liquid)
    smoked Cannabis (plant material)
BODY WEIGHT: 180 lb
180lb 6'2' male. The night was a memorable night but also one that I ended up wanting to forget and did just that for the most part thanks to the Etizolam primarily. I wish I had a better recollection of the experience so I could provide what dosages I took when and when the drinks were consumed, but I do know I consumed my beers and shots of 100 proof Whiskey foolishly fast. At this point I had already had a moderate tolerance built up to Etizolam. I went out of town with my girlfriend to hang with some other friends. I estimate I took 6-10mg of Etizolam over the course of the evening, some before the trip out to our friends, some before we started drinking, some while, and some after I woke up, went home, and had two more beers. I should also mention that there were two 'super' blunts rolled and smoked between 6 people before I passed out.

I felt great, but shortly after I took another 1mg of Etizolam, another shot, cracked open a PBR and took a few sips I knew it wasn't going to be good. The room was spinning. I couldn't hold my head up or keep my eyes open. It hit me like a train and probably within 2 minutes of that train hitting me and fighting the power, I passed out. No one could wake me up. About two hours later I woke up, a bit startled at first because I wasn't sure where I was or what was happening for a second but that quickly subsided. It just happened to be time to leave and I apologized to everyone for passing out although they got a kick out of it.

[Erowid Note: Driving while intoxicated, tripping, or extremely sleep deprived is dangerous and irresponsible because it endangers other people. Don't do it!]
My girlfriend drove us home and I had a couple of beers and 2 more milligrams of Etizolam after the 2 hour 'nap' and hour ride home. We chilled for a couple hours and I was feeling fine. I decided to go get us something to eat. I took a detour through an abandoned industrial area and decided to light 'em up just for fun like I have many times before. Got on it down a straight, did a couple doughnuts, and decided to put it sideways around the last turn before I was out of the area. That was my mistake, I over corrected and slid my beloved SVO Mustang into a bridge pillar and totaled it. Called my buddy and loaded it on his trailer, got food and went home.

This experience was sobering to say the least. I knew I was fine to drive because I can tell when I've had too much to drink. The main contributor, aside from my own foolishness, I believe was the Etizolam. It seems to make me almost fearless especially at the dosages I was taking. I tried not to beat on my SVO too hard but that night I was beating the hell out of the thing. Got way over confident and that last corner sealed the deal on the ol' SVO.

My conclusion is that great caution should be used when taking higher dosages of Etizolam especially in combination with alcohol. No brainier really, but I've noticed myself doing some pretty ballsy and out of character stuff when I'm on a 6-10mg a day Etizolam kick, just Etizolam alone.
