DOSE:
1 g insufflated Ethylphenidate (daily)
BODY WEIGHT: 240 lb
I’m a regular cannabis user and drinker. Less often I’ll have coke and amphetemines. I have tried crack, heroin, mushrooms, lsd and a bunch of legal highs.

When ethylphenidate was legal in the U.K. I developed quite a habit. For a few months I was taking about 1 gram a day from a couple of different online suppliers. Just before it was made illegal, a friend bought 100 grams to keep us going for a while.

I absolutely love this stuff. It is speedy and cocaine-like but also gives me a beautiful woozy feeling, not unlike being drunk but without the bloating or loss of coordination. The epd usually came in crystal form and after crushing it to a fine powder, I’d insufflate a couple of lines about 3-5cm long, one up each nostril. This dose would be repeated several times during the day. I grew to enjoy the massive burning sensation I get from snorting it but it has permanently damaged the inside of my nose.

Well, eventually the supplies ran out and I thought no more about it. I missed the epd but didn’t crave it. Occasionally, I’d get a wrap of speed just to try and recreate the amazing feelings you get from epd but it never quite hit the spot.

Then the depression hit.
I’ve suffered from depression for most of my adult life but this was different. It was as though every last spec of dopamine, endorphins or general positivity at all was tripped from my brain. I was a shell. I went on long-term sick from work and into counselling but all I could think of was suicide. Life was unbearable. I was utterly convinced that I wouldn’t be alive in the next month so didn’t plan anything. A couple of times I seriously prepared for topping myself but came round at the last minute. Those moments when I was about to give in were the only positive times in the 6 to 8 months it took to finally get back on track.

It’s been over a year since I feel fairly normal again. I’m back at work and relatively happy. I’m writing this as a note to those who have access to legal epd. It is one of my all time favourite drugs and I’d have it again in a heartbeat. But I would treat it with much more respect this time around. Perhaps indulging just once in a while as a treat like a bit of coke.

Anyway, I hope this is of use to someone
