DOSE:
10 mg oral Cannabidiol (edible / food)
10 mg oral Pharms - Escitalopram
BODY WEIGHT: 47 kg
At 8 PM I took a 10 mg dose of [CBD edible]. Tasted delicious with only faint chemical aftertaste.

Before deciding to try the edible I had been experiencing fatigue and a tension headache from being at university from 7 am until 7 PM with very few breaks in my day. Looking for a way to manage acute and chronic stress was how I learned about CBD. Today seemed like a good day to test its effectiveness as a tool to unwind and relax without feeling intoxicated or impaired like heavy sleep aids.

I'm also being treated for depression. I take 10 mg of teva-escitalopram (an SSRI) at noon everyday for the past 2.5 months. I only started feeling the effectiveness of this drug 2 weeks ago. It has helped to regulate my mood and energy levels, but I now find with energy returning to my days so too is chronic stress. I took my regularly scheduled dose in the afternoon.

It is the 13th day of my cycle likely around ovulation. I had no alcohol, and my last coffee was around 5 PM. My last substantial meal was at 3:30 PM, but I snacked through out my night class and did not feel hungry before dosing. I do not regularly smoke weed. Generally, I take a puff if it is passed to me less than once a month, so 10 mg seemed like a healthy dose to start with.

At 9 PM I changed into my nightshirt and got cozy in bed with my cat. I noticed no psychoactive or somatic effects yet, and my headache was still present if less intense. Possibly because of the CBD or because of dimmed lights or because of trying to relax my mind. I let my mind wander as I scrolled through my phone.

930 PM Eventually I began to masturbate as another means to relieve tension. I only became aware of the CBD when I orgasmed as it was noticeably more sustained and more relaxed than the day before despite similar routine. I became aware of a slight head rush and an accompanying warm glow that spread through out my entire body. The glow stayed with me for several minutes promoting a mild euphoric feeling similar to after a couple of glasses of wine without the cognitive impairment.

10 PM my jaw is still tense, but my body overall feels much more relaxed particularly my shoulders and spine. My headache is almost entirely gone, but there is still a dull ache in the temples. Still no cognitive impairments. I can think clearly and communicate coherently, and if anything my thoughts have a slower more collected quality than before the CBD. Normally, after a day of this fervor, I would find my mind racing through lists of things I didn't do, or didn't do quite right. Instead I feel a gentle drowsiness taking over my body.
I feel a gentle drowsiness taking over my body.
I feel warm and relaxed almost meditative.

1030 PM I turned off the light and tried to concentrate on the warm feeling in my body listening to the quiet stillness in the house. My headache returns if I do not consciously decide to allow my body and jaw to relax. I think about taking another 10 mg dose, but I don't want to risk it with lots of school work to do in the morning.

11 pm fall asleep. I sleep soundly through out the night, even when my partner comes home late, with many vivid dreams that I don't recall when my alarm goes off.

7 am alarm. Wake up without hitting snooze. Somewhat groggy waking up from a very deep sleep, but not in an intoxicated way. My jaw and body are totally relaxed and any sign of the tension headache are totally gone. My cat is still curled up peacefully at my feet, so it must have been a quiet night because often I will roll over and kick him out of bed while I sleep.

730 am get up and start my day. Healthy appetite, and no lingering feelings of intoxication just pleasant relaxed body and mind. Successful trip and sleep aid.
